Missing multiple teeth affects more than your smile – it changes the way you eat, speak and feel about yourself. Multiple dental implants give you back all of that, permanently, without the compromises that come with dentures or bridges.
At ARC Dental Surgery in Blackpool, our implant team has the specialist qualifications and in-house surgical expertise to handle your full treatment from start to finish, no referrals, no travelling between practices.
Multiple dental implants replace two or more missing teeth using individual titanium posts placed directly into the jawbone. Each post acts as an artificial tooth root, with a custom-made crown or bridge fitted on top. The result is a fixed, permanent set of teeth that looks, feels, and functions like the real thing. If you are only missing one tooth, our single dental implant page may be more relevant.
Unlike a bridge, implants do not require neighbouring teeth to be ground down. Unlike a partial denture, they do not move, slip, or need to be removed. They also protect your jawbone – when a tooth root is missing, the surrounding bone gradually shrinks. Implants stimulate the bone and prevent that deterioration, preserving both your jaw structure and the shape of your face.

Multiple dental implants work best for patients who:
Not sure if you are suitable? Book a free assessment and we will give you an honest picture of your options. Some patients we see have already been told elsewhere that implants are not possible for them – bone deficiency, medical history, or previous failed implants. In many of those cases, our team can still find a solution. If you are missing all or most of your teeth, our All-on-4 or All-on-6 implant options may be more suitable.

We examine your teeth, gums, and bone density using cone beam CT 3D scanning. You receive a personalised treatment plan and a full written cost breakdown before anything is agreed. See our full dental implant patient journey for more detail on what to expect.
Some patients need a tooth removed, gum treatment, or bone grafting beforehand. We carry out this work in house wherever possible, including complex oral surgery via our on-site specialist Ganesh Vinayahan.
Titanium posts are placed into the jawbone under local anaesthetic. Most patients are surprised by how comfortable the procedure is. You are looked after by our implant and surgical team throughout.
Over several months the implants fuse with your bone, a process called osseointegration. This is what gives them their strength and longevity. We monitor your progress throughout.
Custom-made crowns or a supported bridge are attached and colour-matched to blend with your remaining teeth. You leave with a fixed, permanent result.
Implants are straightforward to maintain with daily brushing and regular hygiene appointments. We provide full written aftercare guidance and remain available throughout your recovery.
The cost of multiple dental implants depends on the number of implants required, whether any preparation work is needed (such as bone grafting or extractions), and the type of restoration used.

The cost depends on the number of implants required and whether any preparatory work is needed, such as bone grafting or tooth extractions. All costs are confirmed in writing at your free consultation before any commitment is made. 0% finance is available to spread the cost.
From initial consultation to final teeth being fitted, most multiple implant cases take between six and twelve months. The majority of that time is the healing period during which the implants fuse with the bone – not active treatment time. The number of clinical appointments is typically four to six.
Implant placement is carried out under local anaesthetic, so you should feel pressure but not pain during the procedure. Most patients are surprised by how comfortable the experience is. Some tenderness and swelling for a few days afterwards is normal and manageable with over-the-counter pain relief. We provide full written aftercare instructions.
Bone deficiency is one of the most common reasons patients are told implants are not possible elsewhere. In many cases it can be addressed with bone grafting carried out before implant placement. Our on-site oral surgery specialist Ganesh Vinayahan handles complex grafting cases in house – patients we see are often surprised to find that treatment is possible after all.
Many medical conditions do not prevent implant treatment, but some do require careful assessment. Uncontrolled diabetes, certain autoimmune conditions, and patients on specific medications need thorough evaluation before proceeding. Book a free consultation and our team will give you an honest assessment of your options based on your full medical history.
